In the News: Foie Gras is Scheduled to Be Banned In New York!

The making of Foie Gras, in it’s inhumane way of force feeding ducks and geese through a funnel in order to fatten up their livers, has been a topic of conversation for years. Many cities around the world have banned the practice, and New York is in line to do the same, latter this year. Animal Activists applaud the ban, but many chefs are concerned. However, farmers who produce the product are trying to get the ruling reversed, stating that it would ruin their livelihoods and that the NYC Council is over stepping their legal authority.
