Take Action: Tell the Governor to Sign the Birds and Bees Protection Act! Don’t Let the Federal Trade Commission Allow the Kroger-Albertson Merger!

We Need the Governor to Sign the Birds and Bees Protection Act!

NOFA-NY has joined many other organizations who care about our natural world, including the birds, the bees, and the food they pollinate for us!

If you are a farm or business, please sign on to the letter here for the Governor, asking her to sign the Birds and Bees Protection Act. If you are an individual, please sign this petition instead.

This bill will curb the use of harmful and unnecessary sources of neonic pesticide pollution.

Thank you in advance for signing this important letter or petition.

Join the Center for Science in the Public Interest in Protesting the Merger of Kroger and Albertsons!

Do you want a grocery giant controlling 22% of our entire retail food market? That would be the reality if this merger goes through!

Right now, Walmart controls over 28% of the retail food market. If we allow Kroger to purchase Albertsons, then half of the retail food market would be controlled by just two companies, doing away with competition and causing prices to go up.

The Center for Science in the Public Interest is calling on the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to block the merger to protect competition and consumers.

Taking action:
The Center for Science in the Public Interest has joined forces with Stop the Merger coalition, led by local chapters of the United Food and Commercial Workers and other labor and economic justice organizations concerned with job losses, higher food prices, and negative impacts on farmers and suppliers resulting from the merger. Join The Center for Science in the Public Interest and let the FTC know that profits and dividends should not outweigh the health of our families and communities.
