President Biden’s Plan to Build Back Our Infrastructure and Create Clean Green Jobs is Exactly What Our Country Needs!

We need drastic change, and we need it quickly. The effects of Climate Change can be felt in every community, and it’s impact is greatest on those with the least means to deal with it. Millions of people are out of work, millions of Americans are hungry, clean drinking water is not a guarantee, and our carbon emissions keep going up. Biden’s bold plan to improve public transportation, railway and bus service, and to pivot our country away from its dependence on fossil fuels is exactly what needs to happen. We need to transition to electric cars, build charging stations across the country, build solar and wind farms, and address our current broken food system. We need to do mass trainings to help pivot men and women towards the new technology and new good paying jobs. We need to support organic agriculture, not only for its health benefits and environmental benefits, but also for it’s ability to sequester carbon from the atmosphere and store it in the soil.

Biden’s 2 trillion dollar plan will help get us in the right direction, and if we all do our part, in what ever way you feel moved to help, I believe we can overcome climate change and avoid total annihilation of our species.  Check out this New York Times article;

What Junk Food and Processed Food Does to Your Brain!

According to Michael Moss’s new book, Hooked, junk food and processed food effects the circuitry in our brains, causing us to overeat and helping to fuel a global epidemic of obesity and chronic disease. In this NY Times article, I wasn’t surprised to read that food companies manipulated internal documents and prevented research from happening, but I was surprised to learn that food companies were buying up diet companies, so they could profit off people’s attempts to lose the weight, while eating their products. Heinz, bought Weight Watchers, Unilever, bought SlimFast, and Nestle bought Jenny Craig.

Just like with tobacco companies and pharmaceutical companies, greed and profit are the qualities that drive the decisions corporations make!
