Take Action: Help Pressure Whole Foods to Become a Leader in Ridding Grocery Stores of Single Use Plastic! Help Shut Down the Dakota Pipeline, Once and For All! Join the Challenge in Confronting Racism!

Whole Foods has the opportunity of becoming a leader and role model in reducing the use of single-use plastics. The problem with plastic in our society is huge, and it’s devastating our oceans, wildlife, and even our health. Grocery stores need to be pushed to do better, and Whole Foods, as one of the leading health food stores in the country, is the perfect store to lead the pack!

Please sign on to Friends of the Earth’s letter to CEO John Mackey, asking him to rid Whole Foods of single-use plastic.

Demand Whole Foods protect our oceans and wildlife from single-use plastics.

The Biden Administration Needs to Make the Right Choice and Side with the People!

The fight to shut down the Dakota Access Pipeline is now in its third presidential administration, and we need to keep the pressure on. The US Army Corps of Engineers never did an adequate environmental impact study, nor did they study the threat the pipeline poses to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, whose land it desecrates. Not to mention, they are currently operating without a permit!

The Tribe has been fighting DAPL for the better part of a decade now, and they are going to see this through until the threat is removed. You answered the call in the past to support this fight and your voice has helped get us to the point where shutting down the Dakota Access Pipeline is a real possibility. Once more, we need you to act in solidarity with the Tribe and tell the Biden administration to shut down the Dakota Access Pipeline.

Food Solutions New England is inviting everyone to join the movement that will democratically transform New England’s food system into a sustainable, just, and resilient food system where everyone is treated equal. And they are inviting us all to join and bring these skills to food systems across the country.

From April 5th to the 25th join together with thousands of people on a shared journey of learning, expanding your knowledge, and charting a course of action to dismantle racism in our food system and our world!

Check out the recording from their March 18th Launch Webinar to get oriented to this year’s Challenge.

Food Solutions New England is busy with their Planning Team to update this year’s material and programming, so you’ll want to get onboard even if you’ve done the Challenge before.

About the Challenge

The 21-Day Racial Equity Habit Building Challenge is simple!

You commit to deepening your understanding of, and willingness to confront, racism for twenty-one consecutive days in April of 2021. The Challenge will raise your awareness, change your understanding and shift the way you behave.

However, the Challenge goes beyond individual or interpersonal racism by helping to demystify structural and institutional racism and white supremacist patterns that are sometimes invisible to people. Finally, the Challenge inspires you to act, on your own or with others in your organization, business or group, to dismantle these systems, to make changes in your work and the world that can build true equity and justice for all.
