iEat Green: An Interview with Fumitsugu Tosu

Hi Everybody,

I spent the morning at the conference ‘Bringing Policy to the Table’ at Columbia’s  Teachers College, which was a celebration of the partnership between Teacher’s College and the Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund. The Illumination Fund’s goal is to provide good, healthy food to all New Yorkers,  and they brought on board panelists involved in creating policy and panelists who are on the ground making it work. It was a morning full of collaboration and ideas.

I then interviewed Fumi Tosu from the non-profit organization, Table for Two, who explained how the calorie transfer model that they use to fund meals for impoverished communities works. It is a fascinating program which is just getting started in this country. To learn more about Table for Two, listen to my interview with Fumi.

I hope to see many of you this weekend, either at the TEDx Manhattan, or in Washington, D.C.

Have a great weekend!
