Fight For Transparency in the Foods You Eat!
The FDA has granted an exemption to the first Genetically Engineered cow produced with CRISPR technology. This is 
meat produced in a petri dish, and the FDA is willing to let it be sold without any precautions!! If we don’t convince FDA to reconsider this exemption, this new GE cow will not be regulated at all!

Support the Build Public Renewables Act and the All-Electric Building Act!
 The No North Brooklyn Pipeline Coalition is supporting two bills this year, the Build Public Renewables Act and the All-Electric Building Act.
These pieces of legislation would allow New York to start building public-owned renewable energy at the scale the climate crisis demands and ban fracked gas in new construction starting in 2024.
There are two ways these bills can get implemented this year – through the state budget or passed through the legislature.

Our timeline
The Assembly and Senate have released their one-house budgets over the weekend, and each house will start to conference for the next two weeks, so we want to ensure their offices get tons of calls from New Yorker’s highlighting these bills starting TODAY!
What have your calls already accomplished?
The All-Electric Building Act passed the Senate housing committee last week which is a great sign WE are moving legislators, but we need them to pass through the rest of the Senate committees AND the Assembly too! So YOUR CALL is super important.
We need to keep calling to make it clear we need to do more to get these essential climate bills passed this year.
