Specially designed for Sparrows, ages 4-6, and Ospreys, ages 7-12. Campers will live into the natural rhythm of the season and local environment through play, organic farming, natural arts and sciences, seasonal foods, songs and games. They will have the unique experience of being immersed into the variety of spaces that Planting Fields Arboretum offers, including 400 acres of woodland trails, greenhouses, Olmsted-designed gardens, Orkestai Farm, bird sanctuary, and historic Coe Hall.

Toxic Chromium-6 is in the Water of Over 200 Million Americans!

Hexavalent chromium, or Chromium-6, is the cancer-causing chemical produced by industrial processes such as; anti-corrosion metal coating, wood preservation and textile dyeing. It has been detected in groundwater because of these industries’ pollution, and from natural gas compression stations that use it as an anti-corrosion agent in cooling water. It’s the same chemical that poisoned the residents of Hinkley, Calif., made notorious by the 2000 film “Erin Brockovich.”

The Environmental Working Group analyzed federal data and found that Chromium 6 still contaminates the water supply for more than 200 million Americans in all 50 states, including Puerto Rico, the northern Mariana Islands and Guam.

To find out whether your water is contaminated with Chromium-6, visit EWG’s interactive map and search for your ZIP code using their tap water database
