OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAKids from Brooklyn formed a community composting service BK Rot, which has had a positive impact in the community. Their two locations are formerly abandoned lots that are now leased for the composting program, and also employs about six youths from the community. The composting program is teaching the kids about environmental problems, preserving space for community use, and gives the kids an opportunity to work for a good cause.  BK Rot is a great example of think globally, act locally!
