In the News: A Simple Exposé on the Connection Between Our Food Choices and Climate Change! The Long Island CSA Fair is Coming Back!!

This past week I had the pleasure of going into the health classes at Glen Cove High School and showing the students a short animated film on the “True Cost of Food.” I think it was a real ‘eye-opener’ for many of them, and a bit overwhelming, but very important and very necessary! I came across another great article in Epicurious about Sustainable Cooking, and what that really means. I suggest checking it out, because our Climate Crisis is here, and we all need to pitch in and do what we can to help the situation!

The Long Island CSA Fair (Community Supported Agriculture) is returning to the Sisters of St. Joseph in Brentwood, on Saturday, March 21st from 11am – 3pm! We will be showcasing over 20 farms from across Long Island that have CSA programs. This will be a great opportunity to meet the farmers, and to learn more about each individual CSA program, and find the right farm for you! We all know that eating more fruits and vegetables, and supporting local, sustainable agriculture, is great for your health and that of our planet.
