iEat Green Shares Interview with Acadia Tucker, A Regenerative farmer, Climate activist, and Author

Hi Everyone,

This past Thursday I had an awesome conversation with Acadia Tucker, author of, Growing Perennial Foods: A Field Guide to Raising Resilient Herbs, Fruits, and Vegetables which came out in March and her new book, which is coming out this week, Growing Good Food: A Citizen’s Guide to Backyard Carbon Farming.

Acadia’s books are a call to action, modeled after Victory Gardens from WWII. Back in 1943, we had 20 million gardens growing 40% of the nations food, and she believes we can do that again. Our current war is the war on Climate Change, and if we can get a significant percent of the population growing their own food,

without the use of pesticides and chemicals, we can have a real impact on our climate. Instead of buying into the industrial agricultural system, which adds to our climate problem, we can be part of the solution and help sequester the carbon from the atmosphere into the soil.

If you missed our interview, you can listen to it below, and benefit from the many tips that she shared with us, or you can purchase her books and get inspired!
