iEat Green Shares Highlights from the Women’s March! Richard Schwartz, Former President of Jewish Veg, Joins Bhavani on PRN!

Hi Everyone,

Only 2 weeks to go before the most important election of our lifetime! I hope by now all of you are registered and are planning on voting. Please check out my “Take Action” page if you have time to participate in a texting bank or phone bank to help reach the undecided voters in swing states.

This past weekend, I joined thousands of people across the country for the Women’s March to oppose the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. There were marches in over 400 cities across the country, with thousands and thousands of protestors in Washington DC.. I went to Brooklyn with my sister and daughter, and was a proud handmaid for the day. With Election Day less than two weeks away, mobilizing women to vote was a central theme of the protest, alongside other women’s rights issues.

Richard H. Schwartz, Ph.D., past president of Jewish Veg, and Author of a new book, “Vegan Revolution: Saving the World. Revitalizing Judaism,” will join Bhavani on the Progressive Radio Network.

I’m very excited to invite Richard H. Schwartz, Ph.D., back to my show to talk to us about his latest book, Vegan Revolution: Saving the World. Revitalizing Judaism.

Richard has been promoting a vegan diet for most of his adult life, and is passionate about sharing his knowledge on the connection our food system has with global warming, our health, and Jewish doctrine. His other books include, Judaism and Vegetarianism, Judaism and Global Survival, Mathematics and Global Survival, and Who Stole My Religion? Revitalizing Judaism and Applying Jewish Values to Help Heal our Imperiled Planet.  He is also the author of over 250 articles at JewishVeg.org/Schwartz. Please join us on Thursday for a lively discussion on the connection between a vegetarian lifestyle and Judaism.
