iEat Green Returns from Wild Vessel; The People’s Climate Movement is Organizing! Bren Smith, Executive Director of GreenWave and Owner of Thimble Island Ocean Farm, Joins Bhavani on PRN!

Hi Everybody,

I just returned from the event, Wild Vessel in LA, where I immersed myself in myself for an entire evening. It was an evening to let go, to dance wild, to get quiet, and to connect with sisterhood, in a magical, spiritual, candle-lit environment that was created by the Wild Vessel Team. I had the pleasure of catering the event, which added to the evenings sensory delights!! Stay tuned for Wild Vessel coming to New York.

This evening was the People’s Climate Movement’s organizational meeting in New York, where they discussed the six campaigns and coalitions they are focusing on. Please take a look at all of these organizations and choose one or more to get involved with! Many of them over lap, since we know it is all connected.

A few weeks ago, I was talking with my PRN guest, Brett Tolley, about sustainably raised fish vs. industrial farm raised fish. He told me to look into the work of Bren Smith, to see an example of how it can be done right! That is what I did, and as a result, I have invited Bren Smith on to be my guest this week. Bren Smith is the Executive Director of GreenWave , an ocean farmer and fisherman-run organization, dedicated to supporting a new generation of ocean farmers and innovators who are working to restore ecosystems, mitigate climate change, and build a blue-green economy. Bren is also the owner of Thimble Island Ocean Farm, where he pioneered the development of restorative 3-D Ocean Farming. Bren is a lifelong commercial fisherman, and was named one of Rolling Stone’s “25 People Shaping the Future” and was featured in Time Magazine’s, Best Inventions of 2017. He is the winner of the 2015 Buckminster Fuller Challenge, one of the most important prizes in sustainability, and has been profiled by CNN, The New Yorker, and National Geographic. Please join me on Thursday to learn about sustainable fishing and the work of Bren Smith.
