iEat Green Joins the Peoples Climate March in NYC; Save the Date for the Next L.I. Food Conference on November 3rd!! Roger Bason, Founder of the Atlantic Ocean Aquaculture

Hi Everyone,

March with Me, This Thursday in NYC!!

This Thursday, at 5:30 pm, in Battery Park, thousands of New Yorkers will once again come together to let our elected officials know that we want them to enact regulations that help to protect us from Climate Change! We need them to put climate change ‘front and center’ by investing in renewable energy, by not funding fossil fuel infrastructure, and by holding corporate polluters accountable for cleaning up their mess. If you can’t make it on Thursday, find another march. They are taking place all across the country on Saturday, September 8th. There is a National Peoples Climate March in Washington DC, and a local one in Long Beach, Long Island.

I want to give you all a “Heads Up” to save November 3rd, for the next Long Island Food Conference, coming to LIU-Post in Brookville. I’ve been busy working with the LI Food Coalition to put together a full day of panels and discussions, looking at ‘Food as the Solution’ to so many of the problems facing our society today. Our keynote speaker will be Frances Moore Lappe, author of ‘Diet for a Small Planet’ the award winning book that inspired me to give up meat back in 1971!! In addition to Frances Moore Lappe, we have a great line-up of other speakers and panelists, including Tom Colicchio, Top Chef and Food Policy expert, Sally Fallon from the Weston Price Foundation, and Dr. Robert Graham from Fresh Med NYC. Please plan on joining us on November 3rd, for an inspiring day. If you are interested in helping with the planning, or are interested in becoming a sponsor or having an exhibitor table, check out the link for more information, or send me an email.

My guest this week on the Progressive Radio Network is Roger Bason, founder of Atlantic Ocean Aquaculture, using innovation to sustainably grow food in the ocean.
