iEat Green is Making Changes in the New Year! Highlights from our 24th Annual Christmas Feast for the People

Hi Everyone,

After many years of following the same format for my weekly newsletter, I have decided to streamline my “In the News” and “Take Action” pages, and just give you some quick highlights and links where you can go, if you want more information.  I am assuming most of you, if you are anything like me, are inundated with emails from hundreds of non-profits sharing important information, but you don’t have the time to read it. I don’t want to be just another email blog that you delete every week. I want to stay relevant, and I want to continue to put together an event calendar for foodie’s and environmentalists in the New York area and beyond. So, if you know of any great events coming up, please share them with me, and I will add them to the calendar. I will continue to share information about my radio show and my upcoming guest, so please continue tuning into the Progressive Radio Network for the iEat Green show. We will be off next week, so I will resume my show in the New Year on January 3rd!

In the meantime, enjoy the highlights from this weeks Christmas Feast for the People! This was my 24th year partnering with the River Fund-NY Food Pantry to create a Christmas Feast for the People! As you can imagine, prepping and cooking all of this food is a team effort, and one organization that has joined in over the last four years is the World Wide Psychos, which is an organization that encourages young people to volunteer their time to help those less fortunate. The founder, Jason Pollak, wanted to inspire his friends to participate in giving back to the community, and after he passed away in a tragic accident, his friends rallied together to keep the organization going in his memory. Today, the organization has grown tremendously, and there are young people around the world who proudly call themselves World Wide Psychos!! I am honored to call them partners in my efforts to bring delicious food to the folks in need.

Remember, my show is recorded live, every Thursday, from 10-11 am, EST.  To tune in, navigate to PRN.fm and click the “Listen Live” button on the left.

PRN has a new app! Just download the app from your phone app store, and take the station with you wherever you go! You’ll be able to listen live or access the archives, all from the app! If you want to call in during the show with any questions for me or my guest, the call in number is 888-874-4888.

If you missed the show, you can listen to it in the PRN archives, or through the PRN app. Of course you can also access the shows through my website.

Please “like” iEat Green’s Facebook page, check out my instagram posts, follow me on twitter @iEat_Green and feel free to rate the show and leave comments on iTunes and on my website.

With love and gratitude,
