Hi All,

Last week, I had the pleasure of interviewing Jeffrey Smith on my radio show, and together we celebrated the announcement of Vermont’s groundbreaking new GMO labeling law! Yahoo! Vermont is now the first state to require mandatory labeling on any products containing Genetically Modified ingredients, with no strings attached. This past Fall, Connecticut and Maine passed a preliminary law, but they are dependent on neighboring states passing similar laws, before theirs goes into effect. The Vermont law also prevents any product that contains GMO’s to label their product “Natural.” As of right now, any product can call themselves “Natural” while containing genetically modified ingredients. This is great news, and hopefully will set the new standard for all states going forward. Jeffrey has been instrumental in educating the public about the dangers of GMOs, and his expertise was called upon in helping to pass the new Vermont law. Thank you, Jeffrey!
