iEat Green: An Interview with Chef Mukti Banerjee

Hi All,

Yesterday, my guest on the Progressive Radio Network was Mukti Banerjee, an Indian Chef and the founder of Mukti’s Kitchen in Brooklyn. She offers classes in healthy Indian cooking, and will customize the class to the students IMG_3550needs, whether it be vegan, gluten free or fish. As many of you know, I just came back from India, and enjoyed sampling the different cuisines from the different regions of the country, and Mukti is familiar with all of the varieties of cuisine. Having grown up in a big city, she was introduced to all styles of cooking, and understands how local food will influence a style of cooking. She also teaches about the subtleties of the different spices, and how to adjust them for your taste. The interview was filled with many tidbits of information, and wonderful suggestions to enhance your cooking, as well as a great dessert recipe that I made up, to go along with your Indian meal. Please listen in to this great interview!
