An Interview with Kate Galassi, Co-Founder of Quinciple

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the delay in getting this out. I was dealing with technical difficulties! Only 12 days away to the People?s Climate March! I hope many of you will be making the effort to join us in NYC for the largest Climate March in history! iEat Green, will be joining forces with Slow Food North Shore, the Brooklyn Food Coalition and many more non profit organizations, to march with the Food Justice Contingency of the march. This event is scheduled to coincide with the UN Climate Summit 2014, and is an opportunity for all of us to let our world leaders know that we want Climate Change to be the leading factor in all decisions regarding the future of food, agriculture, energy, pollution and the environment. Our planet and all future generations are depending on it, and we need a huge showing on?September 21st! As soon as I know the meeting spot, I will send that information along, but in the meantime, please mark your calendars and plan on being there! The Sierra Club has arranged for discounted train tickets from 3 LIRR stations.
This week, I will be interviewing Kate Galassi, one of the Co-Founders of Quinciple, an on-line farmers market service, bringing boxes of fresh produce to New Yorker?s doors.?Kate spent three years foraging for New York City restaurants, and built wonderful relationships with the local farmers growing the food she now delivers.
