Take Action: Support the Clean Water Act Today! Oppose the Williams Pipeline!

Can you believe that the drinking water problem in Flint, Michigan is still going on? And it’s not only in Michigan! Millions of Americans are dealing with polluted water from old, lead-lined water pipes, or toxic chemicals in their drinking water.

Take Action Now to let your representatives know you want them to support the Water Act today!

The Williams Energy Company is still pushing forward with their proposed pipeline, and we don’t want it!! The pipeline would be 23 miles long and would carry natural gas (methane) under New York harbor. It is ludicrous! It would run along the coast of Staten Island, then cross the harbor south of Brooklyn to join existing pipelines off the Rockaways in Queens. The dangers to marine life, human life and the impact on global warming are all reasons to oppose it, not to mention the Williams Company’s poor safety record.

Please send your comments to NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) by Friday March 15, 2019 demanding DEC to deny a crucial water quality permit that the pipeline needs to be approved. You may submit your comments to DEC by clicking on to this website.

In addition, on Friday March 15, 2019, please join us on the steps of City Hall in NYC from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon with elected officials for a press event to say no to Williams Pipeline.
