This morning, while you are reading this post, I am driving up to Albany to join hundreds of other concerned citizens to lobby our Congress people to divest from fossil fuels. We need to stop supporting the infrastructure of the fracked gas industry, and start supporting the build up of renewable forms of energy. Con Ed is trying to scare Westchester residents by telling them there is not enough gas, and that if they don’t build more fracked gas facilities, they will not be able to heat their homes or cook with gas. Not True!! We say, ‘this is the perfect opportunity to transition to renewable options!’
