iEat Green Welcomes Boris Fishman, Author of “Savage Feast” to the Progressive Radio Network!

Hi Everyone,

The polls are closed, it’s almost midnight, and a winner is still not in sight. This is way too close for comfort. I’m going to head to bed, light a candle, burn some incense, say my prayers, and close my eyes. I hope to wake up to some good news.

My guest this week is Boris Fishman. Boris is the author of a new memoir called Savage Feast; Three Generations, Two Continents, and a Dinner Table. It’s the story of his journey from Belarus to America, through the lens of food and the dinner table. He is also the author A Replacement Life (which won the VCU Cabell First Novelist Award and the American Library Association’s Sophie Brody Medal) and Don’t Let My Baby Do Rodeo, both New York Times Notable Books of the Year, all from HarperCollins. His journalism has appeared in The New YorkerThe New York Times MagazineThe GuardianThe Wall Street JournalThe Washington PostSaveurVogueTravel + Leisure, and many other publications. He lives with his wife and daughter in Missoula, Montana, where he teaches in the Creative Writing MFA Program at the University of Montana.

I look forward to introducing Boris Fishman and his memoir, Savage Feast, to all of you. I hope you can join us on Thursday!
