iEat Green Shares Interview with Patrick O’Neill, Founder of ‘Amp Your Good’

Hi Everyone,

This past Thursday I had an awesome interview with Patrick O’Neill, whose company, Amp Your Good, is changing the landscape of how we do food drives in this country. I met Patrick 3 years ago when he was just launching Amp Your Good, and it has been so wonderful watching it take off! His company helps food drives collect and deliver fresh produce through online donations, instead of being limited to shelf stable products, like canned vegetables and pasta. It makes it easier for the one donating, and certainly better and healthier for the recipient of the goods. It’s a win/win situation! Amp your Good has partnered with many other organizations working to end hunger and to improve health in  our most needy communities by creating the #GiveHealthy Movement, expanding the opportunities for participating in a healthy food drive. We’ve all heard of crowd funding, well this is crowd feeding on steroids! It makes it so easy to get the right foods into food pantries, helping those in need feed their families healthier options. Please consider starting a food drive of your own, or turning on your local church, synagogue, place of worship, or community organizations to the #GiveHealthy way of giving!

During our interview, I asked Pat if Amp Your Good is involved in any other types of drives, and he told me about their “Stop the Bleed campaign. They have partnered with Stop the Bleeding Coalition to provide emergency kits to schools, places of worship, hotels, or any other organization requesting one, to ensure prompt access to life-saving, easy-to-use hemorrhage control kits, that can be hung in the same place where other life saving equipment is found, such as fire extinguishers or de-fibulators. It is a sad commentary on our world, that such kits are necessary, but it is wonderful that this campaign exists, and that awareness of how to save lives in an emergency situation is widening.

If you missed our interview, you can listen to it here, and please share it with everyone you know! It is all very important information!!
