William W. Li, MD, is an internationally renowned physician, scientist and author of the New York Times bestseller “Eat to Beat Disease: The New Science of How Your Body Can Heal Itself.”

I had a great interview this morning with Dr. Li. He shared his philosophy about health and the amazing ability of our bodies to heal themselves, if given the right ingredients. He doesn’t promote any one particular diet, but likes to listen to his patients, ask about their lifestyle, and then go from there in prescribing foods to add to their diet and foods to avoid.

We talked about many of the misnomers that exist, like soy being bad for breast cancer, or tomatoes being bad for kidneys, and he set the record straight. Soy is actually good for women to eat and can reduce breast cancer, and the health benefits from Lycopene in tomatoes can cut off the blood supply to cancer.  I had so many questions that I wanted to ask, but unfortunately, we ran out of time. If you want to learn more about the magical health benefits of the foods he promotes, you can sign up for Dr. Li’s free Master Class! The next one will be posted soon!

If you missed our interview, you should definitely check it out below!
