Take Action: Help Stop the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) in Its Tracks! Support the Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan! Rally to Promote Wind Energy in NYC

Help Stop the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) in Its Tracks!

For months, we have been urging our Congressman to vote against the TPP.  It’s bad for our country, it’s bad for the people, and it’s bad for the world. The only people that benefit are big corporations. Please let our representatives in the House hear our concerns. Please call and urge these House Members to vote against the TPP:
Peter King (Nassau & Suffolk) 516-541-4225
Kathleen Rice (Nassau) 516-739-3008
Gregory Meeks (Queens) 718-725-6000
Elise Stefanik (North of Albany) 518-743-0984
Richard Hanna (Eastern Southern Tier) 607-723-0212
Tom Reed (Western Southern Tier) 607-222-2027

Support the Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan

Unfortunately, The Supreme Court has sided with the fossil fuel industry, and is not supporting our government agency with protecting our air and limiting greenhouse gas emissions. The people of this country want our government to rain in the pollution, but the pressure from the big fossil fuel companies is louder than the opposition from people. Let’s turn this around!!

Urge your governor to power ahead with state plans to act on climate change and transition to renewable energy!

Rally to Promote Wind Energy in NYC

Join the Sierra Club, Food and Water Watch and other progressive organizations in urging Mayor Bill de Blasio to support the development of wind energy off the shores of NYC. Offshore wind power helps control climate change while building the American industry, bringing more jobs to our country. Wind energy reduces the use of fossil fuels and will be the first step in replacing dirty energy with a clean, renewable energy source. Let’s encourage de Blasio to stick to his word in this important transition!

The rally is this Thursday, February 18th, at 11am at the City Halls steps  (near City Hall R, Chambers St. J/Z).
