June 21-23: The 2015 Citizens? Climate Lobby International Conference

June 21, 2015 @ 9:30 am - June 23, 2015 @ 8:30 pm

$99

The 6th Annual Citizens? Climate Lobby/Citizens? Climate Education?International Conference will bring together 1,000 volunteers who are dedicated to building the political will for a livable world. Attendees will hear from inspiring speakers, receive lobby training and go to Capitol Hill to meet with members of Congress.

Yet the best part of the conference is to feel the palpable energy from being with hundreds of wonderful, committed volunteers who share your vision. For CCL volunteers, coming to the conference allows them to experience the greater community ? the movement that is CCL ? the sense of being part of something bigger than oneself.

Keynote Speaker

The very first time Dr. Katharine Hayhoe spoke on a CCL national call in November of 2011, we realized she had an exceptional gift for communicating climate science, even to those who are skeptics. Just how exceptional, the nation would soon discover. In 2014, she was named one of Time Magazine?s 100 Most Influential People, and she was featured in Showtime?s award-winning series on climate change, ?Years of Living Dangerously.?

Dr. Hayhoe, an atmospheric scientist at Texas Tech University, is also an evangelical Christian. She teamed with her husband and pastor Andrew Farley to write A Climate for Change: Global Warming Facts for Faith-Based Decisions, a book that explains climate science in a way that speaks to people of faith.

Also scheduled to appear: Dr. James Hansen, Anne Kelly, Bob Perkowitz and Sam Daley-Harris among others.
