Last year’s Slow Food Shellabration on the grounds of the beautiful Montauk Lake Club & Marina was an instant sell-out – and a remarkable evening of local food. We celebrated the reasons everyone loves Montauk – its closeness to the ocean, the freshest of seafood from local waters and its spectacular views.

So let’s celebrate again this year!

Slow Food East End is partnering with The Montauk Lake Club & Marina and Seafood Safari, a local sustainable seafood company, to host our second Sunset Shellabration. We’ll be joined by well-known East End chefs who will prepare their shellfish specialties as you watch, with beautiful Lake Montauk in the background!

Admission includes tastings of an array of signature chef dishes using locally sourced sustainable seafood provided by Captain Ralph Towlen of Seafood Safari. Seafood Safari is a provider of sustainable seafood using harvesting methods that vastly reduce bycatch mortality. Their methods ensure that the seafood is in optimum condition for consumption and? goes from sea to consumer within 24 hours.

Proceeds from Shellabration will go to support Slow Food East End’s various programs including Edible School Gardens and Chefs to Schools. Chefs to Schools is our new program that pairs local chefs with schools to teach kids cooking and healthy eating habits. Our other initiatives can be found on our website.

A cash bar will be available. Space is limited and this event is sure to sell-out quickly. Save the date and soon you’ll be able to purchase tickets on the Slow Food East End website. We will send out another announcement when the site is ready.
