400 Companies that Do Not Use GMO’s in Their Products

nongmo-300x300In case you were wondering (and I’m sure you were) there are many companies out there that don’t want anything to do with GMO ingredients, and we applaud you. Here is a list of these awesome companies that actually care about your health. Among them are Amy’s Kitchen, Arrowhead Mills, Blue Print, Cal-Organic Farms, and 365 to name a few. The best way to know that what you are buying does not contain GMO ingredients is to buy organic. But as we all know buying 100% organic isn’t the most cost effective. So print out this list and put it on your fridge or have it with you when you go shopping to use as a reference guide, I know I will.

Obesity Will Soon Overtake Smoking as Principal Cause of Cancer935365623_Fat_bastard_answer_2_xlarge

In the US, just eight obesity-related diseases account for 75 percent of all healthcare costs! Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), dementia, and cancer are among them, but there are many others as well. The links between obesity and cancer are quite clear, and excess weight can increase your risk of cancer rather significantly. For example, obese women increase their risk of womb cancer by 600 percent. Since obesity rates are still going up, smoking will take second place after the new leading cause of cancer: obesity.

DARK Act Passes the House

2015_06_SafeFoodNow_180x180The bill, largely backed by republicans, blocks the U.S. Food and Drug Administration from ever implementing mandatory GMO food labeling and allows food companies to continue to make misleading “natural” claims for foods that contain GMO ingredients. This is an obvious buyout by Monsanto, because they are terrified that people will not buy their products if they contain genetically modified ingredients. They are right! So they are doing everything they can to stop mandatory GMO labeling from happening. But we still have a chance to get our right to know, click here to sign the petition, and get others to sign as well.
