iEat Green Welcomes in the New Year; An Interview with Shen Tong, Founder of Food-X

Hi All,

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season, whether you chose to be social and surround yourself with family and friends, or decided to be more contemplative and enjoy some solitude, I hope you are coming back to the New Year feeling refreshed and ready to take on 2015! I know I am! While I did my share of socializing and sharing one delicious meal after another with family and friends, I also found some quiet time to contemplate my goals and aspirations for this coming year, and I feel energized to take them on.

This evening, I hope many of you will consider joining me at the public hearing to oppose the Port Ambroise Liquified Natural Gas Facility at the JFK Hilton, from 6-8:30pm. The Port Ambroise LNG facility is a proposed port 19 miles off of the coast of Long Island and New Jersey, in the same spot that there is a proposed wind farm. The environmental impact that this port would have on our area is huge, and the potential for a disaster is also great. To learn more about it, please ?click here.

This week on the Progressive Radio Network, my guest is Shen Tong, the founder of Food-X, a food-business accelerator that helps early stage food companies get the funding and mentoring needed to grow their business. A few weeks ago, I went the Food-X launch party, where each of the food businesses that were a part of the first Food-X class, had an opportunity to make a presentation and introduce their new business to the public. It was a great event, and the food businesses that made presentations, were well on their way to success! I know they are accepting applications now, for their next group of food businesses, so if you are interested, make sure to listen to our interview on Thursday.
