iEat Green Gears Up For Our Annual Thanksgiving Feast For The Needy; Joining the People’s Climate Movement Day; and Interviews Jill Talve from EverVeda

Hi All,

Well it is that time of year again, and I am gearing up for our 21st annual Thanksgiving event, bringing community together to cook and serve a Thanksgiving Feast to hungry New Yorker’s at Rufus King Park in Jamaica, Queens. Every year, I partner with the River Fund NY, and join their mobile food pantry to create a beautiful Thanksgiving Feast on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. This year, it will be on Tuesday, November 24th, and we will begin the preparations on Saturday, November, 21st, and continue until the job is done. If you are interested in participating, please sign up on the doodle document here!

Feeding the Homeless at Rufus King Park, Jamaica, Queens, 11/25/14

Last year, over 400,000 people came together in New York City for the People’s Climate March, to show our world leaders that we, the people, care about our planet, and are looking to our policy makers to make a commitment to reversing the impacts of climate change, poverty and inequality, before it is too late. The movement continues this week on October 14th, during a National Day of Action. Check out what events are taking place near you!
