iEat Green: An Interview with Jo Robinson, Author of “Eating on the Wild Side”

Hi All,

This past Thursday, I had the pleasure of interviewing Jo Robinson, the author of the new, highly informative book, Eating on the Wild Side: The Missing Link to Optimum Health. I found the book extremely informative, with lots of new information that I had not heard before, and tips on simple things you do to increase Screen Shot 2014-07-15 at 5.43.22 PMthe nutritional value of many foods. For instance, if you rip your lettuce the day before you eat it, it quadruples it’s phyto-nutrient level! I didn’t know that! Or, if you let your chopped garlic sit for 10 minutes before introducing it to heat, it will retain its health benefits (heating garlic can kill all of the healing properties.) These are great tips to know and this book is full of them. Another one that I know all of my potato loving friends will appreciate, is that if you cook potatoes and then refrigerate them for 24 hours before eating them, it magically transforms them from a high glycemic food to a low glycemic food! How cool is that!

If you missed this interview, you will definitely want to hear it.
