Tell the Smithsonian: Reject Demands to Whitewash History

The Trump administration is pressuring the Smithsonian museums to change or remove exhibits on slavery, civil rights, and other histories of oppression. It’s reviewing several museums and threatening to cut off crucial federal funding unless exhibits align with his re-imagined historical views. This is part of a broader effort to undermine programs that address inequality by erasing the historical context behind them.

We need to speak out against this interference, asking the Smithsonian Board of Regents to protect these exhibits and stand up for honest, inclusive history. We need the Board to publicly commit to preserving the integrity of American history and resisting censorship.

Call Your Rep: Stop Trump’s Plan to Let AI Deny Medicare Coverage

As if our healthcare system couldn’t get any worse, Trump and Dr. Oz are making plans to allow Artificial Intelligence to make decisions about people’s medical needs. And the cherry on top — the more claims these AI brands deny, the more money they will get paid. Because of the Republicans’ Big UGLY Bill, Medicare funding is taking a nosedive, and this is just another way they are taking life-saving healthcare away from the people who need it most, not to mention we have paid into the system our entire lives and it’s our money!!

While I do think there are benefits to some of the uses of AI, this is absolutely not one of them. We need to send a message to our representatives to let them know they cannot allow this to happen.
