Take Action: Protect Your Children from Cell Phone Radiation; Join Women’s March, Indivisible, 350.org, and others in Letting Your Voice Be Heard!!

The Environmental Working Group, the organization that brings us the Dirty Dozen, Clean Fifteen, and the Safe Sunscreen Lists, has now come out with a Guide to Safer Cell Phone Use. I’m so thankful that I raised my children before cell phones were a thing. Nowadays, young children have to compete for their parents attention when they’re little, and as they get older and get their own cell phones, parents need to protect them from the radiation damage that effects children twice as much as adults. Check out the guide below, and invest in some headphones or earbuds!

This is going to be a record breaking year for protests and marches because our whole democracy, America as we know it, is at risk of becoming an authoritarian regime. I beg all of you to not give up, and to keep showing up for these protests. We need to make Congress, on both sides of the aisle, listen!!

On Saturday, September 20th, the “Make Billionaires Pay” protest and march planned for NYC and across the nation will be huge! Stay tuned for more details to come. Also, Bill McKibben, the founder of 350.org and now the founder of Third Act, will also be hosting a Sun Day protest festival on September 21st, up in Albany and in cities across the country, celebrating solar and wind power, and the movement to leave fossil fuels behind and promote the transition to clean energy.  Solar energy is now the cheapest source of power on the planet – and gives us a chance to actually do something about the climate crisis. Meanwhile, fossil fuel billionaires are doing everything they can to shut it down. We will build, rally, sing, and come together in the communities that we need to get laws changed and work done. The Albany event will feature an exposition hall with advocates and vendors, panel discussions, teach-ins, climate films, and climate-songfest. For more info, and to register, click here!
