Take Action: Join the Fight for Sunlight at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens! Help Us Win Both Georgia Senate Seats!

The Fight for Sunlight Campaign is a grassroots movement to raise awareness of and opposition to a massive development proposed for 960 Franklin Avenue. The proposed development, just one block from the Garden’s eastern boundary, will block the sunlight to the Garden’s conservatory complex, where plants are propagated for the entire collection, and where the gardens rarest collections are maintained. It will also create a shadow at certain times of the year and day that will reach all the way across the Garden into Prospect Park. It will also create afternoon shadows over adjacent parks and open spaces east of the proposed building, along with other negative environmental impacts.

Please help the garden! Enlist your friends and family in the Fight for Sunlight by encouraging them to sign this petition and join the campaigns mailing list.

Help Us Win Both Georgia Senate Seats!

If we win Georgia, we will have the majority in the Senate, which will allow the Biden-Harris administration to move forward with critical legislation for COVID relief, hunger relief, food reform, freedom of choice, environmental protections, and many other progressive reforms.

The Republicans are pouring money into this campaign, and we need to do the same! Women’s March and New Georgia Project rely on grassroots donations to train volunteers, invest in more organizing tools, and reach out to more voters, so we can win!
