New York’s current energy policy is outdated and in need of an update to help alleviate rising energy costs and the instability of oil and gas usage (no to mention their horrendous impact on our natural world).
Fortunately, some of our state lawmakers have put forth the NY HEAT Act which sets out to replace gas mandates with more affordable energy alternatives and set spending caps on energy bill costs for New Yorkers.
This bill could save millions of families money each month and it would be another step in the right direction towards more sustainable energy implementation in our state.
The NY HEAT Act has already been passed by the New York Senate and awaits passing by the Assembly.
