iEat Green’s Thanksgiving Feast for Those in Need is Coming Up!! Farm to School Educator, Misse Doe Axelrod, Joins Bhavani on PRN

Thanksgiving is around the corner and iEat Green is gearing up for our Annual Thanksgiving Feast for Those in Need.

Here’s a short documentary video created about the feast – ThanksGiving Back! Check out the video below, and share it with your circles! We are in need of Coats and other Winter Items for our Coat Drive, so please help us collect coats, hats, scarfs, sweaters, gloves, boots, blankets, sleeping bags, tote bags, toiletries, towels, etc.

If you want to sign up for a shift, add your name to the doodle doc!

My guest this week on the Progressive Radio Network is Misse Doe Axelrod. Misse is the Farm to School Educator at The Vermont Farm and Forest School at Drift Farmstead. Her 20 years of experience in sustainable agriculture and her passion for educating the wondrous minds of 3 year olds to adults, has made her a leader in the Farm to School Movement. Misse values community growth both in the natural and human world. When not on the farm growing food or hosting educational programs, Misse works in a dozen schools in Central Vermont teaching farm, food, and nutrition. Misse has a B.A. in Community Food Systems and uses that knowledge as a Farm to Community Mentor with NOFA-VT.

I’m very excited about our upcoming conversation on Thursday. Misse and I share a passion for integrating education with food and farming, and we will have a lot to talk about. I hope you can join us!
