iEat Green Shares Interview with Sean Fitzpatrick about the Real Food Share Organization!

Hi Everyone,

I just finished my interview with Sean Fitzpatrick, the Founder and Executive Director of Real Food Share.  Their mission is to get as much healthy, locally grown food to as many people as possible, while partnering with folks in their community and the surrounding area. They have already had a significant impact in the Newtown, CT area, serving fresh produce to 12 local food pantries. They have 2 farms where they grow their own organic vegetables, partner with 14 farms who donate their surplus produce, and have a team of interns and volunteers who make it all happen. It’s a model that can be replicated in towns around the country. All you need is some inspiration, a desire to make a difference, and an understanding of the power of nutritious food.

As we know, everyone deserves access to healthy, nutritious produce, and Sean and his team at Real Food Share are providing that, while transforming food waste, restoring the soil, and educating the community.
