NYCC is having their fundraising gala on Wed. Oct. 24  at Littlefield on 635 Sackett St, 

Brooklyn, NY 11217 in Gowanus, Brooklyn.  Their parties are truly fun–lively and not at all stuffy or droning on. This year they are honoring:

• Bill McKibben:  author, environmentalist, and activist, most notably known for co-founding350.org, an international climate campaign that works in 188 countries around the world.
• Rachel Rivera:  Board Member of New York Communities for Change, a Puerto Rican mother of six, and a Hurricane Sandy survivor.
• Judith Enck: Senior Advisor at the Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, and served as the Regional Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency under President Barack Obama.
