We will watch two 2015 TEDxManhattan videos – Michele Merkel’s talk “Using the Legal System to Fight Factory Farms” and Kendra Kimbirauskas’ talk “Don’t Let the Good Food Movement Only Feel Good”.

Both Kendra and Michele will be at the event to talk in more depth about their presentation and their views on industrial agriculture and what we can do about it. ?They will lead a discussion with the audience on what’s happening and what can be done to get rid of the factory farm system.

The Change Food Factory Farm Salon is an educational and awareness raising event for interested individuals. ?It is also being held as a pilot event for future salons and events Change Food will be encouraging individuals and groups around the world to host. ?We encourage suggestions from the attendees on how others could replicate this kind of event in their own community – all help and ideas welcome.

This event is open to the general public interested in food issues, food studies students and members of Norwood. ?Seating is very limited so please sign up early. ?Thanks!
