Friday, March 25th, Join the NYC Chapter of Fridays for Future in a Global Strike!

FreeThe Climate Crisis is not going anywhere, and everyday that we ignore it, it is getting worse!
The NYC Chapter of Fridays for Future, a global organization founded by Greta Thunberg in 2021 is organizing this Strike in NYC!. Climate change poses an existential threat to our planet and recent research such as the latest IPCC (The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) report have made it clear that drastic actions must be taken now.
Fridays For Future NYC will be participating in the global climate strike on March 25. The strike will begin at 1:30 pm at Borough Hall and then everyone will march across the Brooklyn Bridge to Foley Square, where
there will be speakers from 3:00-4:00pm ET. This is an unpermitted protest!

Multiple COVID-19 guidelines will be in place to ensure the safety of students including, but not limited to mandatory masking, and FFFNYC is working with a Harvard epidemiologist to ensure that our COVID-19 protocols are up-to-date and highly effective.
Day-Of Logistics:
– 1:00pm ET: Begin congregating in Borough Hall for the march, short pre-rally at
Borough Hall.
– 1:45pm ET Begin marching, cross the Brooklyn Bridge.
– 3:00pm ET: Arrive in Foley Square, begin rally.
– 4:00pm ET: Strike will wrap up.

Such an issue requires mass mobilization in the streets and the more people that turn out on March 25, the more power we have to achieve change. This is more important than ever as new legislators enter into the New York State and City governments. We hope you see the value and urgency of this action.
