Coming Together as Community is Needed Now More Than Ever!

Join Slow Food North Shore for a Pot Luck Soirée on Friday, June 27th at 6pm with a Guest Speaker from the L.I. Progressive Coalition!

As most of us struggle with the current administrations changes to our Country and Democracy as we know it, the need to surround ourselves with like minded people has become more important than ever. We need to know that we are not alone, and we need to create a cushion of love to engulf ourselves in. Slow Food is an organizations that promotes community, the coming together around a communal table and sharing the love of food and people.  They support good, clean and fair food, while supporting our local farmers and farm workers. We haven’t gathered for quite a while, and we need to start it up again!

We have invited Monique Fitzgerald, from the Long Island Progressive Coalition, to join us and share with us ways we can get involved . They are another local, non-profit organization that is working to make  our community better by fighting for structural change at the local, state, and national levels to attain racial justice, build community wealth, and realize a just transition to a 100% renewable energy future.!

Please join Slow Food North Shore for a casual evening of good food and conversation and bring with you a homemade or locally sourced dish to share.
