Judge Rules Secret Panel on Climate Change Broke the Law in Creating Global Warming Report that was Biased!

This has me furious, because decisions are being made by the Environmental Protection Agency, using a bogus report on Global Warming that is not based on facts!. Even though a federal judge ruled that the Energy Department unlawfully produced this government report on globalNo matter your politics, this should outrage you. The EPA just proposed rolling back the Endangerment Finding, the rule that declares greenhouse gases harmful and empowers the EPA to act. This isn't warming after Energy Secretary Chris Wright secretly handpicked five researchers known for rejecting mainstream climate science, it was publicized and not removed! The panel, called the Climate Working Group, met in private, held no public meetings, and failed to include a balanced range of scientific viewpoints, all in violation of the Federal Advisory Committee Act. Judge William Young concluded that these violations were clear “as a matter of law,” rejecting the department’s claim that the group was merely exchanging information rather than shaping policy. The report was later used by the Environmental Protection Agency to justify rolling back the endangerment finding, the legal cornerstone of federal climate regulation.

The ruling severely undercuts the legitimacy of the report itself. Court-ordered disclosures revealed that political appointees coordinated closely with the researchers and the E.P.A., directing them to produce a predetermined, “slanted” outcome while actively concealing the group’s existence. Hundreds of scientists condemned the report as error-filled and misleading, reinforcing concerns that it was not a good-faith scientific assessment but a legally flawed effort to manufacture doubt about climate change. Although the judge did not order the report removed from the public record, the decision makes clear that it was produced through an illegal, secretive process that fundamentally compromises its credibility.
