There’s Still Time to Save GMO Labeling
The Senate has passed the federal GMO labeling bill, which would block any state labeling laws. Monsanto and the GMA are one step closer to keeping Americans in the dark about our food, but it’s not too late to stop this. Elected officials need to be reminded they work for the American people, not for corporations. Take action by sending the letter in the link to your state representative. Also send a message to your senators to thank them if they voted no, but if they voted yes, tell them that you will not be voting them back into office next election cycle. Tell President Obama to Say No to Monsanto’s Dream Bill
Since the Senate has passed Monsanto’s Dream Bill, we need to let President Obama know it is unacceptable to side with the GMA and large food corporations. Lead in water is a huge problem in the country, not just in Flint. Lead contamination from aging water infrastructure affects many schools and communities, and the government needs to take action. Children are especially at risk, as they are still developing and vulnerable to environmental toxins. School water pipes need to be updated, as well as nationwide water systems.
