Demand Climate Action: Support the Clean Power Plan

President Obama has introduced a real plan against the coal-fired power plants. He calls it the Clean Power Plan, and he needs you to show your support for it. For far too long, Big Coal has gotten a free pass to pollute as the rest of us pay the price in dirty air, rising seas, withering drought and raging floods and storms — threats as undeniable today as they are dangerous. That’s why it’s no surprise that Big Coal is hurling millions at lobbyists and lawyers in last-ditch desperation to delay or derail our progress. Don’t Let New York Force Vaccinations On Your Kids

New York State Senator Brad Hoylman (D-Westside of Manhattan) just introduced a bill, S6017, that would eliminate religious exemptions from vaccine mandates in New York. Following suit of California, New York wants to be the next state to take away your right to choose to vaccinate yourself and your kids. This will mean that no child can go to school without being vaccinated with the 18 required vaccinations by law. Protect Our Right To Know, Stop the DARK Act

Please take the lead in protecting the right of consumers to know if their food contains genetically modified organisms (GMOs) by issuing a public statement opposing H.R. 1599, the Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act, and by urging your fellow Senators to oppose a Senate version of this bill. It’s called the DARK (Deny Americans the Right to Know) Act because the bill legally sanctions corporate deceit by guaranteeing the legal right of food manufacturers to withhold the fact that their products contain GMOs.
