Sign on as a Supporter in the Monsanto Tribune

hammer-311342__180Monsanto has become the poster child of evil corporations worldwide, and has wreaked havoc on the environment and lives of people across the globe without a second thought. The Monsanto Tribunal has been organized by a collective of concerned scientists, farmers, and citizens who want to hold Monsanto accountable for the horrendous actions and side effects of the company. It is clear, especially with this watered down GMO labeling bill being pushed through, that we cannot rely on our governments to hold this company accountable, so citizens of the planet are taking matters into their own hands. Change occurs on a grassroots level, and this Tribunal aims to “get a ruling – even symbolic – against Monsanto by a bench of real judges, after veritable proceedings in an international court, and contribute to the establishment of international mechanisms to bring justice to victims of multinationals.” Sign on as a supporter here to help the movement gain traction and take a stand against Monsanto.

Tell Obama to Veto the GMO Bill

This was in the newsletter last week, but it is just so important to show President Obama we gmo-254539__180reject this federal GMO labeling bill. Obama’s campaign in 2007 said he wanted to label GMOs because Americans deserve to know what’s in their food, and also has time and again been a supporter of states’ rights. Please, sign and share this petition to tell Obama to veto this bill. 90% of Americans want strict GMO labeling – if we all take a stand together, the government cannot pass this bill into law. Please do your part!

Sign to Ban Atrazine

herbicide-587589__180The widely used herbicide atrazine has been banned in the European Union, but is still legal in the United States. As the second most popular herbicide in the country, 70 million pounds have been sprayed in the past twenty years. Unfortunately, atrazine is linked to birth defects and abnormalities in children, reproductive problems in men, and delayed menopause and increased risk of gestational diabetes in women. The herbicide also migrates from crop land into waterways, where it affects animals in the ecosystem and gets into our drinking water. The EPA needs to finally ban this dangerous herbicide, so sign and share!
