Take Action: Protect Those Who Expose Abuse At Factory Farms; Let’s Keep Up The Fight To Stop The TPP; Tell Obama to Protect the Arctic

Protect Those Who Expose Abuse At Factory Farms

factory-farm-abuse-180Slowly but surely, state legislatures have been passing laws making it illegal for people to expose the truth about the cruel and unnecessary treatment of animals in factory farms. This means anyone filming or taking pictures of activity going on in factory farms could be criminally charged to the full extent of the law. This cannot go on. These whistleblowers are just trying to get the truth out to the public about this horrible torture of animals, but Big Ag is really trying hard to keep you in the dark.

So they created “ag-gag” bills, which appear to be a coordinated, nationwide attempt by corporate Big Agriculture to silence and criminalize the heroic whistleblowers and journalists who expose abusive, unsanitary, and environmentally harmful practices on industrial farms through photos and video. Tell Congress they need to make “ag-gag” bills illegal and protect whistleblowers who expose abuse.

Let’s Keep Up The Fight To Stop The TPPstop-the-tpp-180

Last Tuesday, 13 Democrats signed to fast track the Trans Pacific Partnership, selling out their environmentalist and internet freedom activist friends. The TPP is not in effect yet, and with pressure from the public we still have a chance to stop this from happening. Congress will have to take one final vote on the TPP itself. Fast Track was only approved in the House of Representatives by two votes, so it may be possible to defeat the TPP in the final House vote. Let’s keep up the good work and make our voices heard, sign the petition, and tell Congress that you oppose the TPP. To learn more about the Trans Pacific Partnership, listen to Elizabeth Warren speak on the Senate Floor

Tell Obama to Protect the Arctic

obama-don_t-drill-arctic-180Shell is only  a few days away from heading to the Arctic to ravage the earth of Arctic oil, federal coal, and other fossil fuels. Let us help remind President Obama what he stands for, and what the American people stand for, by  not drilling in the Arctic, which will destroy the environment and kill local wildlife. This is the time to put our efforts into clean energy, if we go through with drilling in the Arctic, it could mean bad news for us and future generations. Remind Obama of where his loyalties lie, they are not with Shell, they are with the environment and the future safety of our planet. Send a message to him now.
