Join the People’s Climate Movement Day of Action Today

logo1Today is the national People’s Climate Movement Day of Action and I want to encourage you to do something bold today. There are 100 events happening around the country TODAY and you should get involved with what’s happening to see that climate change is taken seriously. People are organizing meetups to march on the streets or have discussions about climate change. You can organize one too, just get involved by clicking here.

Stand Up To the Bottled Water Industryindex

Parks all over the country are standing up to the bottled water industry by becoming bottled-water-free and rejecting unnecessary pollution. The International Bottled Water Association doesn’t want this to happen and wants to reduce your access to the tap to keep bottled water sales up. We can’t let this happen, make your voice heard and sign the petition stating you want all national parks to be bottled-water-free to save our environment from plastic pollution.

Tell Chicken of the Sea That You Want Sustainable Fishing Practices

Catalina_300pxChicken of the Sea, one of the US’s biggest tuna brands, is owned by the biggest tuna company in the world — tuna giant Thai Union. Thai Union has been embroiled in scandals and human rights abuses throughout its seafood supply chains. Chicken of the Sea claims to be sustainable, but its policies do little to protect ocean wildlife or workers at sea. Take action today and tell Mr. Shue Wing Chan, Chicken of the Sea CEO, to commit to a strong policy that ensures that the company’s tuna is truly sustainable and ethically-sourced.
