Take Action: Fundraising with Friends; Make Clean Energy Affordable; Labeling Without Loopholes

Fundraising with Friends

On October 15-16, people from all over the world who have been harmed by big agribusiness will gather in The Hague, Netherlands, for the International Monsanto Tribunal and People’s Assembly. This is a two-day event that will include workshops and strategy sessions for humanitarian groups and food justice activists to meet and rally for a cleaner, safer, and morepeople-1214217__180 sustainable future. Supported by the Organic Consumer’s Association and other health and justice campaigns, this international event is a ‘people-powered’ initiative to hold Monsanto accountable for crimes against humanity, the degradation of biodiversity, and massive harm done to ecosystems across the globe. Take action by spreading the word and donate here! Encourage your circles of friends and family to also donate and support this incredible social movement working to protect ourselves and the earth!

Make Clean Energy Affordable

urban-438393__180Earlier this month, people did convene in Chicago to show support for the Clean Energy Incentive program—an important part of the Clean Power Plan‘s success to reduce carbon emissions by 2025—which rewards states (must submit intent to participate by September 6th!) for acting early in establishing programs in low-income communities. Thus, as clean energy programs become more attractive to state legislatures and incentives are built into community programs that would increase energy efficiency, the time to voice your concern for fair and equitable opportunity is now! Tell the Environmental Protection Agency to keep their standards high and make clean energy affordable for all!capitol-22546__180

Labeling without Loopholes

Help strengthen the bill for labeling foods with GMO soybeans and sugar beets. Call your senators, or please call the Congressional switchboard: (202) 224-3121, to label GMOs and support your right to know!
