Join the Bayer-Monsanto Investigation

hands-1063442_1280Last Tuesday, Monsanto shareholders approved the mega-merger of “Bayer the Bee-Slayer and Monsanto the Butterfly-Killer” but there is still a way to stop this toxic deal from happening! Tell your state Attorney General: Join the investigation of the Bayer-Monsanto Merger!!

“Bayer is one of the top producers of bee-killing pesticides. Monsanto makes glyphosate (a.k.a. Roundup®) — which is a key culprit in monarch butterfly declines and is a probable human carcinogen.

Both companies aggressively lobby the EPA, USDA and other public officials to prevent any regulation of their toxic products. If these two companies join forces, it would be even harder to get pesticides that harm bees, butterflies and people out of our food system!” – Friends of the Earth

Food and Water Watch has been instrumental in moving forward the ban on fracking. Please, consider, when giving gifts this holiday season, to include Food and Water Watch!

They made sure that the EPA heard from the individuals whose drinking water was made unusable by fracking in Dimock, PA, Pavillion, WY and Parker County, TX.

They brought individuals from these impacted communities to the doors of the EPA to demand they tell the truth about the real people whose water, communities and lives have been hurt by fracking.

And it worked! This week the EPA released the final report and stated it could not support its dangerous and misleading claim from the draft report and highlight the stories of impacted communities. It now clearly states that fracking can and does cause drinking water contamination.
