Last week, on the cover of the Food Section of the NY Times, there was a great article about Vegan-ism not only becoming more mainstream, but also becoming more gourmet. People are choosing to eat healthier, and restaurants are choosing to meet the demand with artistically plated, gourmet, plant based foods. No longer is the vegan a hippy with dreadlocks skipping through the daisies wearing a long, floral dress. High profile celebrities are embracing the vegan diet and helping to bring it into the limelight, boosting it’s many health benefits, along with a more beautiful body and radiant skin. The fact that it is better for the planet, is an added bonus! One only needs to look at the emerging cookbooks and restaurants, to see the new trend. Just being vegetarian isn’t enough, if the food is still laced with GMO’s and hormones and antibiotics. It might be OK in a pinch, but I wouldn’t suggest that you make a habit of it!

And not only did Monsanto know of it’s dangers to the public and the environment, the Environmental Protection Agency also knew about it, and did nothing.
