Monsanto Fires Back at Neil Young’s Scathing New Album

NeilYoung62215Neil Young has dedicated an entire album to Monsanto; although not in a good way. Employees of Monsanto are rather upset that he attacks the agriculture giant, saying, “Many of us at Monsanto have been and are fans of Neil Young,” the company said. “Unfortunately, for some of us, his current album may fail to reflect our strong beliefs in what we do every day to help make agriculture more sustainable. We recognize there is a lot of misinformation about who we are and what we do—and unfortunately several of those myths seem to be captured in these lyrics.”

Saying that they are helping “make agriculture more sustainable” is laughable. It’s also comical that they claim his lyrics to be “myths” and “misinformation” when we all know they are the truth. Click the link to listen to a sneak peak of his album.

The New “Cure” For Dementia is Whale Meatwhalemeatdd

The Japanese are grasping at straws trying to get people back onto whale meat, the new “super food” to treat dementia and fatigue. The sale of whale meat is down to 5,000 tons a year, when in the 60’s they were selling 200,000 tons a year. To me, this sounds like a clear victory to have the slaughtering of endangered animals down to 5,000 tons a year. But Japan wants to push whale meat so badly that they are making erroneous health claims.

A spokesperson for Kyodo Senpaku told The Japan Times that the attempt to market whale meat as a curative “may help not only to maintain demand for whale meat but also to lower health care costs.” This just sounds outright absurd and irresponsible to make up health claims for a product that is endangered, and with no scientific evidence that it actually works.

Study Links Sugary Drinks to a Staggering Amount of Deaths per Year

soda_consumption_deathAccording to the American Heart Association’s new study, 184,000 deaths are linked to sugar-sweetened beverages each year. The American Beverage Association was very upset by this number and did have a good point saying, if a person was to stop drinking Coke and pick up a twinkie, are they less likely to get diabetes? That is a true statement since both items contain high sugar, but it doesn’t nullify the fact that drinking lots of sugary drinks can, and does, increase your chances for diabetes. Too much sugar in any form, is not a good thing, and we all need to do our part, to make sure our loved ones know the facts!

Roundup Class Action Suit for False Advertising is Going National4100268_f520-300x207

There is a class action law suit happening now against Monsanto for false advertising on their Round-Up product. This was only going to be a case for the LA County Court, but now they are taking it to Federal Court; meaning that anyone in the entire United States that purchased this particular brand within the last 4 years can join the suit. This is a game changer. Roundup labels have the following prominent text: “Did You Know? Glyphosate targets an enzyme found in plants but not in people or pets.” This turns out to be a completely false statement.

Unfortunately, since this has happened, Monsanto has pressured many publications NOT to cover the story, including the NY Times, LA Times and even the Huffington Post, contributing to a media blackout on the lawsuit. This news HAS to get out so please share this with anyone you can.
