iEat Green Shares Interview with Roger Bason, Founder of Atlantic Marine Aquaculture

Hi All,

Yesterday I had a wonderful conversation with Roger Bason, the founder of Atlantic Ocean Aquaculture, about the future of food, and the cultivating of seaweed to help feed our growing planet. Aquaculture is a fascinating way of using a natural resource to grow food, while helping to mitigate climate change, by combating too much CO2 in the atmosphere, acidity in the ocean, and algae blooms in our bays. An ocean farm sequesters 4 times as much carbon from the atmosphere as a land forest, and doesn’t use up any of our natural resources. This is a model that can be replicated and used to clean up our waterways naturally, while also being a profitable business model for an entrepreneur. We need to continue encouraging innovative ideas to help our planet deal with the problems created by climate change, while at the same time, pressuring our elected officials to use the technology we all ready have available, like solar and wind energy.

If you missed my interview with Roger, you can listen to it here!
